The Cliffs of Moher. Yes, they’re just as stunning as you’ve heard.

The cliffs are on Ireland’s west coast, about a 3-hour drive from Dublin. You can easily take a day tour to make things super easy, but I had a rental car and was coming from Galway, which is only about a 90 mins drive on the opposite side of the road. Drive if you can/are willing to…the scenery is green and dreamy.

The cliffs themselves stretch for about 14 km and hit over 700 feet high. You can explore the visitor center, but honestly, the best part is just walking along the edge and taking in the view. Some parts are fenced, others not so much. I definitely walked beyond the marked path, which is where I met the horse! A few others were doing the same and it wasn’t too treacherous. But do that at your own risk!

Weather-wise—prepare for everything. It was sunny, windy, misty, then sunny again… all in like 20 minutes. Wear layer, pack a waterproof jacket, and for sure wear solid shoes. The wind is no joke up there—this is not the time for any loose fitting hat.

It costs €15 if you pay at the gate. Being a good traveler, I (and you) book in advance, which only costs €8 per adult. Skip the food, drink, and souvenirs there, as it’ll all be over priced.

Overall, this was a top 3 highlight in a week and a half in Ireland! For me it was extra cool because my mom’s family comes from this part of Ireland. But for just about anyone, the Cliffs of Moher are one of those travel moments that hit differently—huge, humbling, and a little magical. Add it to your list, you won’t regret it.

You may have seen the Eiffel Tower sparkling from thousands of blinking lights (20,000 lights to be exact). I didn’t think I’d see it, didn’t have a plan to see it, but realized after a few hours in the area how I would be able to see it.

From dusk to 11pm, the Eiffel Tower twinkles for five minutes and the top of every hour. It used to last for ten minutes, but France being an environmental leader, reduced it to five minutes to conserve energy. Nice touch France!

Is it the highlight of a trip to Paris? Not likely. But is it cool to see in person? Absolutely!

London at night is a fun place to explore. Iconic

London at night is a fun place to explore. Iconic buildings like Big Ben are lit up, giving the city a more relaxed, approachable vibe.

The tube (subway) tends to run until midnight, many buses run 24 hours, walking around at night is pretty safe, and Uber is always an option.

Pubs are lively in the evenings and usually close at 11pm thanks to a law passed during World War 1 to prevent people from drinking too late the night before work. The law was repealed 20 years ago but many pubs still follow the precedent.

So when in London, be sure to explore some of the city’s many hotspots and popular neighborhoods by night!

Welcome to the northernmost grocery store in the world. Everything is imported, so prices are steep! Plus you have to leave your gun at the door (seriously). 🛒🇳🇴

Located in Longyearbyen, Svalbard, this store stocks everything from fresh produce to Norwegian snacks, but since it all arrives by ship or plane, the sticker shock is real! But because this is within town limits and polar bears typically don’t come into town, locals have to leave their rifles outside.

Funktionærmessen Restaurant located in @funkenlodge was one of the more creative meals I’ve had.

This used to be a place where miners would come for their lunch breaks. So the long standing tradition of removing your shoes at the hotel entrance is carried on by visitors today.

With tasting meal options for meat and veg eaters, there’s an experience for everyone. The chefs mesh in local elements with global ingredients. A very unique way of looking at food and the immediate world we’re in. For example, arctic char with root veggies, a miner’s inspired charcoal-laced champagne ice palate cleanser, and a brown cheese, nyr and sea buckthorn sweet treat at the end.

A 6 course meal costs NOK 1095 (approx $100), before tip (no tax given Svalbard’s tax free status).

When in Svalbard, this place is a must.

@bunnacafe might be my fav restaurant in all of NYC. And it’s so NYC in that it’s cultural, entrepreneurial, authentic and an experience.

There are a few cuisines that are instantly recognizable, and Ethiopian food is one of them. You’ve got the spongy sourdough injera bread that you use to eat your food with. Then you have the bold spices like spicy berbere, tumeric and mitmita that create the most unique flavor profiles. And of course, Ethiopian coffee is next level!

I haven’t been to Ethiopia yet, but Bunna Cafe takes me there every time I visit.

Just when you think you’re a travel pro, you encounter this 😂 But I still know a thing or two. So here’s 3 things I never travel without to make my flights more enjoyable:

1. Noise cancelling headphones - complete game changer when you’ve got that noisy kid sitting behind you

2. Foot sling - nothing like being able to elevate your feet for a long flight, without having to pay for first class

3. iPad - you can fill it with books, games, a journal app, movies and shows, and so much more. It’s all in one entertainment.”
